PicoSure & PicoSure Pro

The latest generation of

3-wavelength picosecond laser

532nm, 755nm, 1064nm

FDA-indicated for the treatment of tattoo and benign pigmented lesions removal, Focus Lens Array is indicated for the treatment of acne scars and wrinkles.

PicoSure is the world’s first aesthetic 532nm, 755nm, 1064nm three-wavelength picosecond laser, widely recognized for its technology leadership, unmatched clinical versatility and proven performance. Recent PicoSure innovations such as Boost™ Adjustable Pressure and FOCUS™ Lens Array have enabled clinical applications and revenue expansion opportunities not available with any other laser system. The 532 nm and 1064nm wavelengths are now FDA cleared and will be available with new systems and as an upgrade to existing PicoSure customers.

The Most Common Wavelengths

PicoSure™ &  PicoSure Pro™ 532nm wavelength is for treatments of red, orange and yellow tattoos; In 755nm wavelength, melanin absorption ratio is 50 times better than oxyhemoglobin’s, so it is more efficient to scatter melanin, with lower energy and fewer treatment times, end up with more effective and faster results, with minimum photothermal side effects which do not hurt the surrounding skin tissue; 1064nm is a longer wavelength, which could reach deeper in the skin, in addition,  it is less sensitive to melanin compared to 532nm and 755nm wavelength, 1064nm wavelength could provide more gentle treatments.

Picosecond vs. Nanosecond Technology

Traditional nanosecond lasers predominately rely on photothermal action, delivering heat to the pigment and surrounding tissue. PicoSure takes advantage of PressureWave Technology to shatter the target ink into tiny particles that are easily eliminated by the body.

Picosecond pulse width is 1000X shorter than nanosecond technology

Only ultrashort pulse durations trigger photomechanical effect

With this short pulse width, lower fluence is required

FOCUS™ Lens Array Skin Treatments

Picosecond technology combined with the powerful FOCUS Lens Array has shown impressive results for the treatment of wrinkles, acne scars, and pigmented lesions. The combination of picosecond technology and high-performance FOCUS™ Lens Array technology produces a laser-induced optical breakdowns (LIOBs) by redistributing laser light and concentrating energy through a unique FOCUS™ Lens Array which create huge pressure wave to start cell proliferation and repair mechanisms, stimulating collagen and elastin hyperplasia, thickening of the dermis, from inside to outside improving skin condition, thereby reducing the pores, smoothing fine lines, improving scar. The most important, no wounds after treatments with a very short downtime.
